Welcome to my journal! I'm a Christian, single, work-at-home (medical transcription), homeschooling mom of a very challenging 13-year-old, Chad. We live in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
Things that interest me include agrarianism/simple living, preparedness, homeschooling, romantic country/cottage decorating (especially on a tight budget), transforming trash to treasures, and homeschooling.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. (KJV)
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. (NIV)
...and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one. (ESV)
